Pitching at Warsaw Startup Stage
Competing in an international startup pitch competition in Warsaw, Poland.
I traveled to Warsaw, Poland, to compete in an international startup pitch competition. The event brought together founders from across Europe, each presenting their companies to a panel of investors and industry leaders.
Pitching internationally forces you to strip away local context and communicate your value proposition in universal terms. What works in your home market may not resonate with investors who have never heard of your industry's local dynamics. The discipline of making your pitch work for a global audience is one of the most valuable exercises a founder can go through.
Warsaw's startup ecosystem is growing fast. The city has a strong technical talent pool, competitive costs, and increasing venture capital activity. Competing there gave me exposure to a different investor mindset and a broader European perspective on what makes a startup fundable.
The experience reinforced something I believe strongly: the best pitches are not about the product. They are about the problem, the market, and why your team is the one to solve it.
