South Summit is one of the most important startup conferences in Europe, bringing together thousands of founders, investors, and corporate leaders. I had the opportunity to pitch on the main stage and was interviewed by media on-site.
The main stage at South Summit is a high-pressure environment. Hundreds of people in the audience, a strict time limit, and a panel of experienced investors evaluating every word. Preparation for this kind of event is intense. You rehearse the pitch dozens of times, anticipate every possible question, and refine your delivery until it feels natural.
Beyond the pitch itself, South Summit is valuable for the connections it creates. The hallway conversations, the investor meetings, and the spontaneous encounters with other founders are where real relationships form. Some of the most productive partnerships I have built started with a handshake at events like this one.
Competing at this level taught me that confidence on stage comes from knowing your numbers cold and believing in the problem you are solving. If you truly understand the pain your users feel, the pitch writes itself.
